PacWest All-Conference

IRVINE, Calif---After a fourth-straight season with a conference championship, the Point Loma Sea Lions received 11 all-conference selections, including junior Lauren O'Malley being selected as Defensive Player of the Year, the PacWest announced Tuesday.

O'Malley is one of four Sea Lions on the 1^st Team All-PacWest, along with forward Alana Diaz, midfielder Hailey Clifford, and fellow defender Emma Thrapp. It's the first selections for Diaz, Clifford and Thrapp.

Three more Sea Lions landed on the second team with defenders Naomi Ellis and Courtney Jo Seman joining goal keeper Emma Hinson as multiple time selections.

Another multi-time selection, midfielder Makenna Herrero landed on the third team All-PacWest, joined by first time selections Bethany Arabe, Abby Schmidt, and Mara Sovde.

For O'Malley, it solidifies her stellar Point Loma career with her fourth all-conference selection and second defensive player of the year recognition.

The Sea Lions are well represented across the three All-PacWest teams after allowing less than a half goal a game and riding a 13 match unbeaten streak to start the season.
