(BEAUMONT, Calif.) PLNU Women's Golf is in contention after two rounds of the Vanguard Fall Invite, sitting just one shot behind the lead entering Wednesday's final round at Oak Valley G.C.
Point Loma led the tournament after Tuesday morning's first round before improving its team score by two strokes in the second round.
Two Sea Lions are in the Top-5 individually, with
Kiara Hernandez (74, 72) and
Mallory Hopper (74, 76) in third and fifth respectively.
Hernandez, who won the Westmont Invitational last week, is just three shots behind the leader after posting an even-par second round.
Avery Sky (81, 76) and
Zara Houghton (77, 80) are both tied for 16th, while
Bella Gunasayan (80, 79) is two shots behind them in a tie for 19th.
Tee times for Wednesday's final round begin at 7 a.m.
