(FULLERTON, Calif.) PLNU Track & Field continued its strong start to the 2024 season with an encouraging performance at the Ben Brown Invitational over the weekend in a field consisting of predominantly NCAA Division I teams.
 
Anessa Chirgwin (discus – 45.89 meters) and Madelynn Worley (400 meters – 57.23 seconds) both placed fifth in their respective individual events.
 
Katherine Heekin and Brianne Camarena took seventh and eighth place respectively in the pole vault, having both cleared 3.53 meters.
 
Aubrie Nex crossed the 1500-meter finish line in 4:32.24 to earn her eighth place.
 
Point Loma will host the Ross and Sharon Irwin Invitational on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. in the first of two-straight weekends PLNU will host a track meet.
