RESULTS
 
(SAN DIEGO) PLNU Track & Field hosted the Ross & Sharon Irwin Invite on Saturday in its first of two home meets on consecutive weekends.
 
"It was an exciting day where our young ladies had many outstanding performances with several new top-10 performances," Head Coach Jerry Arvin said. "There were also many tremendous marks by the visiting teams. It was just another great track day at Point Loma."
 
Elizabeth Satterlee won the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:16.43, which moves her up from sixth to fourth all-time in program history in the event. That time also set a new personal record by 48.12 seconds.
   
Anessa Chirgwin finished first in the discus for the second time this year with a mark of 47.30 meters, which ties her season-best set at the Rossi Relays where she also won. That mark also ranks third in all of NCAA Division II so far this season.
   
Aubrie Nex placed second in the 1500 meters, crossing the finish line in 4:35.06.
 
Nex also ran on a 4x400 meter relay team along with Bree Gentry, Madelynn Worley and Blanca Granados that finished second in a time of 3:56.26.
 
Worley (56.98 seconds) and Granados (58.05 seconds) placed third and fifth respectively in the 400 meters.
 
Worley followed that up by finishing fifth in the 200 meters (24.99 seconds) to move into fifth all-time in program history in the event, while also placing third in the 4x100 meter relay (48.61 seconds) with Lillian Gomez, Granados and Brynn Celani.
 
Makenna Sullivan finished third in the triple jump with a best mark of 10.65 meters.
 
In the pole vault, Peyton Yoshida, Eva Koutelieris and Katherine Heekin placed third, fourth and fifth respectively, having all cleared 3.51 meters.
   
Point Loma hosts its second and final home meet of the season on Saturday, the PLNU Track & Field Invitational.
 
Field events are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. with track events starting at 11:30 a.m.
