TRACK & FIELD OFF TO STRONG START TO NEW SEASON

(CLAREMONT, Calif.) PLNU Women's Track & Field is off to a strong start to its 2025 season, scoring the most points of any school at the Rossi Relays in Claremont on Saturday.
 
Four Sea Lions moved up on the Top-10 List in program history on the day.
 
Brianne Camarena won the pole vault with a mark of 3.75 meters that moves her up to fifth all-time in PLNU history, as Sea Lions finished 1-2-3 in the event on the day. Danielle Gould (second) and Peyton Yoshida (third) both cleared 3.60 meters.
   
Millie Bledsoe now ranks seventh in program history in the 100 meter hurdles (14.77 seconds), as she finished third at the meet in the event, with teammate Reagan Cole (15.03 seconds) a spot behind in fourth.
   
Angelica Gomes (12.40 seconds – 100 meters) and Makenna Sullivan (62.92 seconds – 400 meter hurdles) are now eighth and ninth among Sea Lions all-time in those respective events.
   
Gomes placed seventh out of 56 runners in the 100 meters, just behind teammate Lily Gomez who was fifth in a time of 12.29 seconds, while Sullivan led a group of Sea Lions who finished 1-4 in the 400 meter hurdles.
 
Sullivan, Sarah McGarry, Gomes and Blanca Granados finished third out of 20 teams in the 4x400 meters in a time of 3:52.74.
   
Point Loma returns to competition on March 7-8 at the Ben Brown Invitational hosted by Cal State Fullerton.
