(DOWNEY, Calif.) PLNU Women's Golf tied for sixth out of 16 teams at the LA Spring Kickoff in the team's first tournament of the spring semester.
Point Loma entered Tuesday's second and final round in seventh place and moved up a spot in the team standings, improving its score from Monday by eight strokes at Rio Hondo G.C.
Bella Gunasayan tied for 10th individually, shooting rounds of 75 and 74 to finish at seven-over for the tournament. She ranked fourth in the tournament with 25 pars across the two rounds.
Sophia Soto also shot a final round 74, moving up 11 spots to tie for 22nd. She tied for third among all players by averaging par on par-threes in the tournament.
Avery Sky fired a second round 76 to tie for 31st.
Point Loma returns to competition Feb. 24-25 at the Pioneer Shootout in Alameda, which will take place at Corica Park G.C.
