RESULTS

(SAN DIEGO) At the Ross & Sharon Irwin Invitational on Friday and Saturday, PLNU Women's Track & Field welcomed 717 student-athletes representing 17 different collegiate programs.
 
Point Loma earned four runner-up finishes and had six competitors move up or into the Top-10 List in program history, highlighting another successful meet for the Sea Lions to start the season.
 
Angelica Gomes placed second in the 400 meters in a stellar time of 56.00 seconds to remain in third all-time in program history.
 
Danielle Gould and Peyton Yoshida both cleared 3.66 meters in the pole vault, placing second and third respectively.
   
In the long jump, Rowan Cebulski (5.38 meters) finished second, followed by Sarah McGarry (5.36) in third.
 
The 4x400 meter relay team of Makenna Sullivan, McGarry, Gomes and Millie Bledsoe closed out the final event of the day with a second-place finish (3:51.09).
 
Lily Gomez finished fourth in the 100 meters at 12.17 seconds, followed by Blanca Granados in sixth in a time of 12.22 seconds. The duo now ranks fifth and tied for sixth respectively in program history in the event.
 
Granados was also third in the 200 meters (25.07 seconds), with Gomez in sixth (25.44 seconds).
   
Lia Markert (11:23.56) and Zaila Smith (11:41.30) were third and fourth in the 3000-meter steeplechase, moving into fifth and seventh respectively in program history.
 
Maddie Reeves moved into 10th all-time in the 1500 meters (4:36.88), placing sixth in the event.

Millie Bledsoe finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles (14.81 seconds), followed by Reagan Cole (15.05 seconds) in sixth. Bree Gentry also placed sixth in the 800 meters (2:15.41).
   
PLNU went three through five in the 400-meter hurdles with McGarry (1:03.21), Sullivan (1:03.43) and Bledsoe (1:03.70).
 
Sullivan also finished third in the triple jump (11.59 meters).
 
In the 4x100 meter relay, the PLNU quartet of Madi Simmers, Gomez, Gomes and Madeleine Dekkers placed third (47.84 seconds).
   
Point Loma's next meet is the Aztec Invite (March 21-22), hosted by San Diego State this weekend.
