(SAN DIEGO) PLNU Women's Track & Field had a busy weekend, sending student-athletes to three different meets.
Peyton Yoshida won the pole vault at the UC Irvine Vince O'Boyle Classic with a mark of 3.55 meters, with
Danielle Gould (second place) and
Brianne Camarena (fourth) also clearing the same height.
Katherine Heekin and
Eva Koutelieris also recorded season best performances in the same event.
At the Cal State San Marcos Mangrum Invite, the women's 4x100 meter relay team of
Madison Simmers,
Blanca Granados,
Madeleine Dekkers and
Angelica Gomes finished third in a time of 47.40 seconds, moving into fifth place all-time in program history in the event.
Gomes set a new career-best in the 100 meters with a time of 12.37 seconds, improving her 10th place position among Sea Lions all-time.
Grace Anderson set an eight-second personal record in the 1500 meters, crossing the finish line in 5:05.48.
At the Shelia Burrell Aztec Heptathlon,
Rowan Cebulski (4,512) and
Reagan Cole (4,275) both competed in their first ever heptathlons, finishing third and fifth respectively. Cebulski's point total was just shy of cracking the top-10 list in program history, while Cole's time of 14.85 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles moved her into 10th among Sea Lions all-time.
Point Loma competes next at the UCSD Triton Invite on Friday and Saturday in La Jolla. The Sea Lions will also sent student-athletes to the Stanford Invitational and San Francisco State Mike Fanelli Track Classic.
