Angelica Gomes moved up on the Top-10 List in program history in two events, highlighting a successful meet for PLNU Track & Field at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite.
Gomes now ranks fifth among Sea Lions all-time in the 200 meters (24.75 seconds) and eighth in the 100 meters (12.27 seconds). She placed fourth in both events on Saturday.
Katherine Heekin recorded a season-best mark of 3.65 meters in the pole vault to place second, tied with teammate Brianna Camarena.
Macey Groves (12.44, 25.55) and
Madeleine Dekkers (12.64, 26.21) both ran personal best times in the 100 and 200 meters, while
Eliana Perks crossed the 1500 meter line in a personal record 4:55.7.
Three more Sea Lions recorded personal best marks in field events, with
Carsen McKinney placing ninth in the discus with a throw of 38.46 meters.
Sarah Cox-Barden's hammer throw of 36.04 meters and
Ella Lamp's javelin throw of 29.13 meters were also personal bests.
Point Loma will compete on Friday and Saturday at the Bryan Clay Invitational in its final meet before the PacWest Championships (Apr. 25-26).
