(GOODYEAR, Ariz.) PLNU Women's Golf moved up on the final day of the RJGA Palm Valley Classic to finish in 11th place out of 22 teams.
Point Loma shot rounds of 303 and 306 as a group, moving up from tied-for-12th to 11th.
Sofy Cardenas and
Avery Sky tied for the team individual lead, both finishing in a tie for 23rd out of 116 players.
Sky, who carded five birdies in the tournament, led the team with a first round 72 on Friday. Cardenas' final round score of 74 was the best amongst Sea Lions on Saturday.
Mallory Hopper was next in a tie for 65th, shooting rounds of 78 and 77. She ranked fourth among all players by shooting two-under on par-five holes.
Bella Gunasayan was a shot behind in a tie for 72nd with back-to-back rounds of 78.
Point Loma now sets its sights on the PacWest Championships, set to take place April 21-23 at Aliante G.C. in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
