Peyton Yoshida represents PLNU Women's Track & Field on the CSC Academic All-America® Team, as announced by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.
Yoshida was voted to the Third Team, becoming the third PLNU Women's Track & Field student-athlete to earn Academic All-America® recognition in program history and the first since Lindsay Honea in 2014.
The honor, voted on by CSC members, is bestowed upon student-athletes for a combination of athletic and academic excellence.
Yoshida won a third straight PacWest Conference pole vault title this season after vaulting a career-best 3.79 meters, which ranks her third all-time on the program's Top-10 List.
The USTFCCCA All-West Region selection became the first Sea Lion in PLNU history to win an event at the PacWest Championships three times.
The Kirkland, Washington native graduated from Point Loma with a 3.96 GPA as an Applied Health Science major. She also has a 3.98 GPA in her MBA program.
