(SAN DIEGO) PLNU Track & Field will host its Second Annual Sea Lion Pole Vault Festival on Nov. 1.
"I've been looking forward to this event all year," Associate Head Coach
Avery Takata said. "We had such a blast hosting it last year and can't wait to provide another competitive opportunity for the pole vault community in the offseason."
The event, which is officially sanctioned by USA Track & Field, is open to high school, collegiate and post-collegiate men and women.
"By making this meet an official, USATF sanctioned event, we're hoping to see more vaulters at The Point," Takata said. "With vaulters jumping in both of our pits that overlook Sunset Cliffs, you couldn't ask for a better location for a pole vault meet."
Entries for the competition are due by Oct. 31 at 5 p.m.
"Last year was a success and we are hoping to build on that so that we can share our wonderful facility with more athletes and coaches in the pole vault community," PLNU pole vault coach Jon Stroschine said.
