(SAN DIEGO) Former PLNU Baseball starting pitcher
Ray Cebulski has signed a professional contract with the Seattle Mariners organization.
Cebulski had a stellar Sea Lions' career, twice earning All-PacWest honors on two PacWest championship teams.
His best season came in 2024 when he won 10 games and totaled a 3.55 ERA in 78.2 innings.
The right hander helped pitch Point Loma to the West Regional championship that season, hurling eight innings of one-run ball in the clinching victory against Cal State Monterey in the Super Regionals.
He then struck out nine batters in seven innings against IUP in the NCAA Division II World Series, while allowing only a single run.
As a senior in 2025, he posted a 5-0 record on the mound. The last start of his Sea Lions' career came in the NCAA West Regional against eventual regional champion Northwest Nazarene, as he kept PLNU's season alive with a win.
His 21 career victories are tied-for-eighth most in program history.
Cebulski becomes the 29th Point Loma player all-time to sign a professional contract.
