Vaughn Neckar was named the PacWest Pitcher of the Week, while Point Loma is the conference's Team of the Week after the Sea Lions' four-game sweep of Hawai'i Pacific.
In the second game of the series, Neckar pitched a seven-inning complete game shutout in a 6-0 Point Loma win.
Neckar carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning and recorded the first out of the final frame before HPU spoiled his no-hit bid with a base hit up the middle.
In total, only two Sharks reached base the entire game, as the freshman struck out six batters while walking only one.
In three starts this season, the righty has only allowed one run in 19.1 innings for a 0.47 ERA.
It marks the second-straight week a Point Loma pitcher has earned the award, after
Derek Silva claimed the honor last week.
Point Loma (8-3 overall, 4-0 PacWest) is the only team to remain unbeaten in PacWest play after the opening weekend of the conference season.
PLNU hosts Chaminade on Wednesday and Thursday in a four-game conference series. First pitch both days in Carroll B. Land Stadium is scheduled for 11 a.m.
