Grand Canyon edges Point Loma

PHOENIX - Brothers Bram Kevelaerts and Jakob Kevelaerts picked up their second win of the season at No. 2 doubles, and the Point Loma men's tennis team also picked up points at No. 2 singles and No. 3 doubles, but No. 10 ranked Grand Canyon came away with the 6-3 win on Friday, Feb. 8.

The Kevelaerts defeated Felix Schueller and Alexander Roggenkamp of Grand Canyon 9-7 in a tiebreaker. They have now won both doubles matches since joining the Sea Lions.

Daniel Milliken and Kaptan Kaster also helped PLNU earn a point as they won 8-3 over Meidy Chazeau and Yann Kaelin in No. 3 doubles. Milliken and Kaster are now 1-1 on the season as a doubles team.

Point Loma earned its only point in singles at No. 2 when Michael Zablan took down Yann Kaelin in straight sets, 6-2 and 7-5.

The match could have gone the way of the Sea Lions but the 'Lopes were able to pull off the tiebreakers at No. 1 and No. 3 singles.
