Moment #7: The men's and women's soccer teams both played very abbreviated schedules and played their conference matches in the spring. Both teams were scheduled for only 'regular season' five matches, and that was before COVID-19 wiped out a match for the women's team. However, even with less time to prepare in the preseason, and facing tough competition night-in and night-out in the PacWest's SoCal Pod, both Sea Lion teams were able to post perfect records and take the pod title. The women's team went 4-0-0 and never trailed all season. They surrendered just one goal while outscoring their opponents 7-1. The men's team went 5-0-0 with three wins on the road and a comeback victory to post their perfect record.
