Moment #1: Throughout the 2020-21 season, the PLNU women's golf team had been building to the PacWest Championships. The team had won three of its first four tournaments and climbed as high as No. 9 in the national rankings. However, without capturing the program's first PacWest Championship, it would feel the Sea Lions came up short in their season. After the first day, PLNU found itself behind by 10 strokes. When round 2 came along they were a completely different team. They roared back to shoot a tournament-low 294 (+6) and take over the leaderboard. They would never give up the lead again as they went on to win the tournament by 21 strokes. Alli Kim finished fifth on the individual leaderboard and all five golfers placed in the top 13. The PacWest Championship earned the Sea Lions' second regional bid in program history.
