Anna Leitzke (then Sieczka) came to PLNU in 2000 and competed for the tennis team for four outstanding seasons. She is arguably the best women's tennis player in school history. Anna played on court one in both singles and doubles all four years where she compiled an incredible record. She is first in the PLNU school record books for most wins in a single season with 30, most wins in a career with 100, and most career doubles wins with 97.
Anna helped Point Loma tennis win three GSAC championships (2001, 2002 and 2003), four NAIA Region II titles (2000-2003) and reach four straight NAIA National Tournaments. In 2003, the team reached the national semifinals, the best ever finish for a PLNU tennis team.
A four time PLNU team MVP, Anna earned All-GSAC, All-Region II and NAIA All-American honors in each of her four seasons. In 2003, she was named the National NAIA Senior Player of the Year.
Anna graduated from Point Loma in 2003 with a degree in business and has worked in the real estate and property management field since. Anna is married to Chad, a former standout pitcher for the PLNU baseball team. The couple are parents to son, Tyler.
