Jessica Rapoza

Jessica Rapoza competed four years at PLNU (2000-2003). She earned All-GSAC and All-Region II honors three times and was a NAIA All-American honoree in both 2001 and 2002. 

A line-drive hitting lefty, Jessica’s name appears on the PLNU top-10 career list in nearly every offensive category. She holds a .366 career batting average (6th), has 235 hits (6th), 120 runs scored (6th), 47 doubles (2nd), 11 home runs (4th), 47 bases on balls (6th) and 138 RBI (3rd).

During Jessica’s tenure, PLNU softball program won a pair of GSAC championships, two NAIA Region II titles and appeared in three consecutive NAIA National Championship Tournaments, reaching the title game in 2002.

Jessica graduated from Point Loma in 2003 and joined the softball coaching staff for the 2004 season, the year that the team won its third regional championship. She also played and coached in the National Pro Fastpitch League with the Arizona Heat in Tucson. She recently earned her master's degree and is working on her doctorate degree. Jessica works Santiago Canyon College as a professor of exercise science and as an assistant softball coach.
