Sarah Laine Tomkiel is one of the most decorated athletes in PLNU Women’s Track & Field history.
The seven-time All-American still holds program records in the 200 meters, 24.41 seconds, and the 400 meters, 54.47 seconds. Her 400-meter time is nearly two seconds faster than the next closest Sea Lion all-time.
She also ran the anchor leg on the school-record 4x100 meter relay team and is third all-time in program history in the 100 meters with a personal-best time of 12.22 seconds.
She was a member of each of the top-five 4x100 meter relays in school history and four of the top-five 4x400 meter relays.
In addition to her seven All-American awards, she won six GSAC individual titles.
Over her final three seasons, she earned All-American honors three-straight years in the 400 meters and 4x400 relay.
