Hall of Fame
As far back as most can remember, the name Meguiar and the PC/PLC athletic program have been intricately connected. The support of the Meguiar family is yet to be matched. The sponsorship of awards, scholarships and provisions for team equipment and outright gifts have made a significant impact.
Barry Meguiar, through the excitement of following outstanding Pasadena teams has caught and maintained the vision of support set by his father, Mal.
The support has gone beyond dollars too. On many occasions, Meguiar has donated personal commitment of time, energy and leadership which has proven vital to the program. Twice, he has served on the Crusader Club and has twice been elected president. In 1970, under his presidency, a new awareness of need for athletic scholarship was identified. He then launched a campaign to raise funds using color brochures—a first for the club. Meguiar also became the presenter of the Meguiar Memorial Oustanding Athlete award, a $2,000 gift that has been a contribution since 1952.
Meguiar was presented with the Meritorious Service Award by Ross Irwin.
