Hall of Fame
You cannot talk about the history of Point Loma women's basketball without mentioning the name Colleen Planeta. As one of the most dominant forces to ever wear the Green & Gold, Planeta put together one of the most impressive and decorated careers in Point Loma women's basketball history.
She was a three-time All-American and was named the 2009-10 GSAC Player of the Year and ranks second all-time at PLNU with 2,014 points. She is also sixth all-time in rebounds and first in field goal percentage (.550). Planeta's school-record 433 career blocks are nearly 200 more than second place. In addition, she became the first women's basketball student-athlete to record a triple-double when she posted 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks against Westmont. The Sea Lions went 106-23 (.822 winning percentage) with Planeta on the roster and made the national tournament in all four seasons.
