Chris Sadler was one of the most outstanding runners in the history of PLC Cross Country and Track and Field teams. Chris competed for the Crusader teams from 1976-1980.

In all four years Chris was the team MVP in Cross Country. His NAIA accomplishments include leading the team to two District 3 championships, in 1977 and 1979, and qualifying those teams for the NAIA National Meet. In 1979 the Crusader’s finished 15th overall. Chris was All-NAIA District 3 First Team performer all four years at Point Loma. His cross country career culminated with an individual championship at the NAIA District 3 meet his senior year.

Chris was also a multi-year All District performer in Track and Field distance events. While at PLNC he set the school record in the men’s 5,000 meter run with a time of 14:29. Twenty-six years later this record still stands-one of the oldest records on the PLNU track and field lists. Chris also appears in the PLNU record books as the fourth fastest to run the 10,000 meters.

After college Chris continued running, competing for Athletes in Action. Chris has taught in the Exercise Science major in the Kinesiology department and still returns periodically as a guest presenter. He has continued to stand by the school and its programs as a professional in San Diego where he lives working as a Physicians Assistant. Chris and his wife, Pam, have two daughters, Katie and Kristen

Chris it is an honor to welcome you into the Point Loma Nazarene University Athletic Hall of Fame as an athlete in cross country and track and field. Congratulations.
